BYU George H. Hansen Scholarship Criteria: 1. Must be a graduating high school senior 2. Must enroll as a geology, environmental geology, earth and space education, or engineering geology major. 3. Must continue in one or these majors according to a progressive program. 4. Must maintain at least a 3.3 grade-point average. 5. Must abide by all BYU standards or conduct. Data 1. Submit two letters of recommendation from teachers concerning academic qualifications. 2. Submit a letter stating desire to pursue a geology career and why he/she believes he/she qualifies for the fellowship. 3. Submit a copy or high school transcripts. Nature or Award The awardee(s) will be designated as a George H. Hansen Fellow. The award will be dispersed in four payments-one each when registration for Geology 111 and 112 are complete, the others upon successful completion (B or better grade) of Geology 111 and 112.
